The base of the statue is constructed entirely from cardboard, reinforced with a coating of artist’s paste to create texture and durability. The statue itself is a converted Napoleon figure, meticulously painted in black with accents of white and green. A dry-brushing technique, combined with the use of pastels, has been applied to achieve a weathered bronze effect, giving the statue a realistic and aged appearance.
The American and French flags, crafted from foil, are hand-painted with careful attention to detail to capture their authentic colors and patterns. The surrounding fence is also entirely handmade, designed to complement the statue and enhance the diorama’s overall sense of realism and craftsmanship.
